Director of Sales – North America

Location: Remote (home office)
Reports to: General Manager, North America
Travel: Up to 50%

Position Overview

The Sales Director is responsible for driving business growth and expanding our market presence, focusing on the power utility, rotating machinery, and electric vehicle industries within the medium and high voltage space. Your role will center on delivering value to customers, building strong relationships, and meeting sales objectives. You will develop and execute strategic sales plans while managing and supporting a global team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales efforts by leveraging your experience selling software and license solutions that complement OFIL’s UV camera products.
  • Cultivate and manage key customer relationships, ensuring long-term satisfaction and proactively resolving issues.
  • Expand new business accounts and maintain existing ones, consistently achieving territory sales targets.
  • Penetrate new market segments aligned with corporate strategy to drive awareness and growth
  • Collaborate with the Corporate business Team to execute sales campaigns and generate leads within your assigned territory.
  • Provide training and support to business customers and partners, ensuring they are fully equipped to represent and utilize OFIL’s products.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions to promote OFIL’s products and engage with customers.
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations and training for potential customers (Technical and executives)
  • Ensure profitability of accounts through sound pricing and contract management.

 

Skills & qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing selling HW and SW/License solution
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience selling solutions in high-voltage industries, such as electric utilities, rotating machines, data centers, and oil & gas.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to work remotely and collaborate with a global team across different time zones.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions.
  • Solid experience building relationships at C-level in the mid- and high-voltage sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

OFIL India Country Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Country Manager for the Indianan market who will be responsible for directing and managing OFIL’s sales operations in this territory.

The ideal candidate will lead all India’s marketing, BSDEV & sales activities, focusing on increasing OFIL’s revenues and market share.

This role involves active participation in the sales process, market analysis and strategy as decision-maker.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and managing OFIL’s office in India.
  • Recruiting, training and leading the local sales team.
  • Growth and revenue targets: set and monitor ambitious growth and revenue targets for the region
  • Leading India sales activities to achieve objectives established in the strategic plan.
  • Analyzing developing and implementing sales strategies across all workflow solutions markets to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Participating in key strategic initiative decisions.
  • Maintaining and developing key customer and distributor relationships and strategies for expanding the customer base in India.
  • Driving revenue growth for new and renewing business.
  • Acting as a member of OFIL’s Global Sales Force team, participating in meetings and ongoing collaboration with all OFIL’s relevant managers & employees.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering /Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian market dynamics and business landscape.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the Havey industry- Mining / Motor / Electricity.
  • Initiative, innovative, creative, hard worker, hands-on & teamwork personality.
  • Capable of multitasking and working under pressure.
  • High level of customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

 

Knowledge and experience:

  • At least 5-7 years as Director Sales position.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the utility market.
  • Sales experience in B2B, with a history of successful product and solution implementation.
  • Experience in developing territory markets to increase sales.
  • Experience in managing distributors, including training, attending customer meetings, and providing
  • technical and promotional support.
  • Fluent English.

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Director for the Latin American (LATAM) market who will be responsible for directing and managing OFIL’s sales operations in this territory. The ideal candidate will lead all LATAM sales activities, focusing on increasing OFIL’s revenues and market share. This role involves active participation in the sales process, strategic decision-making, and the development of market strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead LATAM sales activities to achieve objectives established in the strategic plan.
  • Analyze, develop, and implement sales strategies across all workflow solutions markets to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Participate in key strategic initiative decisions.
  • Maintain and develop key customer and distributor relationships and strategies for expanding the customer base in LATAM.
  • Drive revenue growth for new and renewing business.
  • Recruit, develop, manage, and coach distributors.
  • Innovate and lead within the LATAM territory.
  • Collaborate closely with the company’s executive team.
  • Conduct technical presentations on our solutions.

 

Knowledge and experience:

  • At least 10 years of LATAM sales management experience in global high-tech companies, with 5 years in a senior management position in the LATAM territory.
  • B.A./M.A. Degree in Electrical Engineer & Electronic Engineer or Mechanical Engineering
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the Utility market.
  • Established contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners.
  • Sales experience in B2B, with a history of successful product and solution implementation.
  • Outstanding sales abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive-level customers and partners.
  • Experience in developing territory markets to increase sales.
  • Experience managing distributors, including training, attending customer meetings, and providing technical and promotional support.
  • Mother language – Portuguese & Spanish in addition to excellent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel at least 40%.

Embedded Software Engineer

Key responsibilities:

  • Gain proficiency in our product portfolio by developing features across various areas, including power electronics, control theory, DSP, and communication on different platforms.
  • Develop software for high end HW platform i.e. QCS8550.
  • Take ownership of projects/products from concept to development, debugging, integration, and field deployment.
  • Build new SW that integrates sensors, HW (drivers, MCU, CPU, etc.) and UI.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 4-6 years or more of industry experience in embedded programming
  • Experience with C/C++ programming languages
  • Debugging and Software Development proficiency
  • Experience with multidisciplinary devices and complex embedded module design
  • Strong knowledge of digital signal processing design and implementation
  • Linux embedded is an advantage
  • Experience working with DSP microcontrollers (mandatory)
  • Familiarity with AI implementation is an advantage
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts

Linemen for Virtual Inspections – part time

We are looking for an experienced linemen to join our team as Virtual Inspection Lineman, utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technologies to conduct detailed assessments of electrical components and systems from a remote setting.

This job is suitable for a retiree from an electrical company.

Responsibilities:

  • Log into our inspection platform to access and analyze images and videos from RGB, thermal, and UV (corona) cameras.
  • Conduct detailed virtual inspections of power lines, electrical components, and substations to identify signs of wear, potential faults, and other issues.
  • Utilize digital tools to annotate and report findings, making use of integrated software features for thorough analysis.
  • Collaborate with field teams by providing insights and data-driven recommendations based on virtual assessments.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated with the latest technological advancements and inspection techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of inspections.
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience as a lineman or in a similar role within the electrical utilities sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from various imaging technologies.
  • Proficient in using computer software and remote inspection tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of collaborating in a virtual team environment.
