Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic sales and business development manager for the Africa market who will be responsible for developing and monitoring OFIL’s sales operations in this territory.
The ideal candidate will be focusing and measured on increasing OFIL’s revenues and market share in Africa.
This role involves proactiveness in developing new market segments, engaging new partnerships in the market, and active participation in the sales process for achieving growth and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve growth and revenue targets: Set and monitor ambitious growth and revenue targets for the territory.
- Lead business development activities to achieve objectives established in the strategic plan.
Analyze, develop, and implement sales strategies across all workflow solutions markets to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
Participate in key strategic initiative decisions
Maintain and develop key customer and channel partners relationships and strategies for expanding the customer base in Africa.
- Analyze the electrical market’s developments and needs in relation to OFIL’s business.
- Drive revenue growth for new and renewing business.
Member of OFIL’s Global Sales Force team, participate in meetings and On-going collaboration with all OFIL’s relevant managers & employees.
- On-going reporting to the company management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering /Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Engineering.
- Strong understanding of the Africa market dynamics and business landscape.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the utility and HV power electricity.
- Initiative, innovative, creative, hard worker, hands-on & teamwork personality.
- Capable of multitasking and working under pressure.
- High level of customer-facing skills.
- Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electricity/physics/electronics.
- At least 5-7 years as Director Sales position.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the utility market.
- Sales experience in B2B, with a history of successful product and solution implementation.
- Experience in developing territory markets to increase sales in Africa.
Experience in managing distributors, including training, attending customer meetings, and providing technical and promotional support.
